Integrating Sustainability Practices In Hospitality and Tourism Business Operations In Ghana
Research has over the years failed to chapter sustainability practices which are integrated into the operations of players within the industry. This study relied on the institutional theory, stakeholders’ and technology acceptance model to provide empirical narrative on sustainability practices which are integrated into the operating models of hotels and restaurants in Accra metropolitan area. The study employed an explanatory research design and quantitative research approach where data were gathered through closed-ended questionnaire from 286 staff randomly selected at hotels and restaurants in Accra. Descriptive statistics in the shape of mean and standard deviation were used to rank and interpret the data on the various research issues. Waste segregation was the common sustainable waste management practice at hotels and restaurants in Accra.
